Kaizer Chiefs to leapfrop Supersport Utd into the second spot?

Having ended a year on a high note with a 2-0 victory over Golden Arrows, Amakhosi will be hoping to continue where they left off when the welcome Sekhukhune Utd at the icon FNB stadium on Saturday evening. Kickoff 20:00

In a match that, they will be celebrating the club's 53rd year of existence, they will be hoping to go gung-ho against Babina Noko in order to collect maximum points in their quest of ending seven-year trophy drought.

If the Glamour boys manage to oversee, Sekhukhune Utd, who are languishing 13th in the Dstv Premiership standings, they will leapfrog Supersport Utd into the second spot, who play against 'Abafana Bes'thende' earlier today afternoon at 15:30. 

However, Zwane and his charges to move up to a second spot will hinge on Matsatsantsa a pitori losing their game against Arrows as they lead Amakhosi by three points and goal difference. A win for Amakhosi with two more goals will propel them to a second-place on the Dstv Premiership table, hoping Gavin Hunt's Supersport flaunder on the other side.

Kaizer chiefs register their first win of the season By : Maswanganyi Wisane Steyn  Date : 09 August 2022 Amakhosi made two alterations from their Saturday defeat at the hands of Royal AM, with Solomons and George Matlou being called on to replace Njabulo Blom and Cole Alexander respectively. It was kaizer chiefs that took the lead in the 3rd minutes through the new signee Ashley Du Preez, scoring on his home league debut. However, the minutes later Amakhosi benefited from goalkeeping error as they piled more pressure on King Ndlovu, who ultimately resulted in a blunder falling into Keegan Dolly's feet, who gleefully scored to extend the lead.
